Creating Stock Items with Excel Import

The following instructions detail how you can use product data Excel files provided by suppliers to

  1. Create new stock items to Solteq Commerce Cloud with the Varianttituotteiden perustaminen Excel-tuonnin avulla feature

  2. Add the stock items to a Stock

  3. Create selling items for the new stock items

Phase 1: Create and Import Stock Item Details

  1. In the Stock Items view, download the stock item Excel template by clicking the Download Templates

    icon in the Products view. Open the GlobalKeepingUnitTemplate.xlsx file you downloaded.

  2. Copy and paste the following information from the supplier’s Excel file into the Stock item Excel file.

    • EAN codes into the sku column

    • Product codes into the manufacturerProductId column.

    • Names of the items into the name column

    • Base unit of the items into the baseUnit column

    • Tax percent of the item into the taxpercent column

    • Purchase price without taxes into the baseUnitPurchasePrice column. This is the taxless purchase price for one baseUnit.

    • capacityUnitAmount is the capacity of one baseUnit.

    • You can leave the following columns in the GlobalKeepingUnitTemplate.xlsx file empty, but do not remove them:

      • supplierGln

      • supplierId

      • stockUnit

      • stockUnitName

      • stockUnitSize

      • stockPackageGtin

      • stockUnitPurchasePrice

  3. Save your changes to the Excel file and click the Import from file

    icon from Back Office toolbar.

  4. Select the file you saved and click Open.

  5. The notification File import processing queued, check your email for import results.is displayed in the Back Office.

  6. You will receive a message in your e-mail when the processing is done. If importing the file was unsuccessful, the e-mail also contains information about the reason for the failure.

Phase 2: Add the Stock Items to a Stock

Create Selling Items for the New Stock Items

 

 

Phase 1: Create and Import Basic Product Details

  1. Download the product information templates by clicking the Download Templates

    icon in the Products view. Open the file you downloaded.

  2. Copy and paste at least the following information from the supplier’s Excel file, or enter the information manually into the StockProductsTemplate.xlsx file.

    • EAN codes into the sku column

    • Names of the products into the name column

    • Tax percents of the products into the taxpercent column

    • Price of the products (including tax) into the standardprice column.

    • openproduct should be FALSE for all products.

    • category:group: Myyntitili

  3. Save your changes to the Excel file and click the Import from file

    icon from Back Office toolbar. Select Stock Product in the Choose product type window.

  4. Select the file you saved and click Open.

  5. The notification File import processing queued, check your email for import results.is displayed in the Back Office.

  6. You will receive a message in your e-mail when the processing is done. If importing the file was unsuccessful, the e-mail also contains information about the reason for the failure.
